"Salsa" is the Latin word for "salted", and in the Concordia: Salsa expansion for Concordia, players will find:

Salt: The first of the two new gameplay modules, adding a sixth commodity, salt, that is produced in salt cities. Salt can be exchanged for any other commodity at any time, making it essentially a "wild" commodity.

The Forum: The second of the two new gameplay modules, adding a deck of Forum cards that players can acquire during the game. These cards grant unique abilities and bonuses to salt your game with new strategic challenges.

Two new maps: "Byzantium" and "Hispania"

The two new modules (Salt and The Forum) can be used with the new maps as well as those of the base game and all other expansions, thus giving even more variety.
